(The next part covers some steps to try first when changing your sliders.) If your body does not specify any required settings and there are no options on your body's HUD, you will have to play with Body Fat, Neck Thickness or Neck Length to try to make the two mesh pieces join smoothly. You will want to follow whatever instructions (if any) that your mesh body has regarding joining with your head. If there are join issues when wearing the shape that came with your head, you will need to check your mesh body's HUD / documentation to determine if there are Body Fat, Neck Thickness or Neck Length requirements to join smoothly with your head. There are three shape settings that can alter how your head and neck come together: Body Fat (under Body tab) and Neck Thickness, Neck Length (under Torso tab). Before attempting to fix the problem, check that your windlight settings are set to one of the ones listed in 2.1 part 3 (above) and also wear the shape that came with your head (to check, not forever). Although the Genesis Lab v3 Bento Heads will accommodate a range of different shapes, you may find that your particular shape does not fit the head to the neck as well as you'd like. As a last resort, you can make your own Neck Tattoo for your Maitreya, Belleza or Slink mesh body using the Dev Kit 3.0 available from the main store (to the left of the reception desk, on the wall): Genesis Lab (205, 125, 27).This will allow you to change the colour of the neck fix, however, these only match to the Genesis Lab v3 skins. To change the colour of the neck fix, click on the one of the coloured buttons. After adding the neck fix, use the buttons in the Neck section of your HUD (under Settings, the tab on the right at the top) to change the size of the neck fix to match your body type (Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, or Default Body). Alternatively, for the Genesis Lab v3 Bento Heads: you can also apply the neck fix which comes in v3 Bento Head package.

If you turn the neck fix on after using the body applier, it will not have the correct skin applied until you apply the body applier again (in general). If you are using Genesis Lab v2 or v3 skins, use the neck fix that comes with your mesh body, and re-apply your body applier to change the neck fix for those bodies that have applier-based fixes, like Maitreya. If this still does not fix a colour mismatch, then try: Next, make sure that you do not have a tinting shade applied to your body and that the shine settings on your head and your body are set to matching values (as close as possible if you only have sliders).

I have included these instructions below (see the 2.1.2 WindLights section). PLEASE NOTE: If you do not see any of the Windlight names above in your list, you may need to add Windlight Settings as the default list will not provide you with enough white-balanced settings for light.

Female v3 appliers are available in the store (to the left of reception, on the wall in the black bags, left to right: Maitreya, Slink, Belleza, Vista Hands, Default SL Avatar), and are also available on the marketplace (MP): Genesis Lab Marketplace Female and Male v2 appliers are available in the store (to the left of reception, on the wall): Genesis Lab (205, 125, 27) Make sure that you have the latest v2 appliers, as any older appliers may have a colour mismatch at the neck. Different makers of skins have their own body appliers, so make sure you've used the maker's applier if you are using a 3rd party skin. There is a v3 applier set and a v2 applier set. Genesis Lab body appliers have two different types. Check to make sure you've used the correct body applier.Skin and Body Applier Brand/Version Matching
